Ignition Human Performance unveiled as MB Motorsport's Official Business Performance Partner

March 17, 2022

MB Motorsport are delighted to welcome Ignition Human Performance (IHP) to the team as its Official Business Performance Partner for the 2022 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship.

Having worked for and with World Champion teams and drivers across the wider realms of motorsport, Ignition Human Performance uses its industry-leading experience and knowledge to unlock performance in business using elite motorsport formulas. This will enable businesses to truly understand how the on-track action seen in the BTCC can be translated into performance gains for their everyday objectives. In particular, when it comes to areas such as developing a high-performance culture, driving performance through data and the operational delivery of business processes.

Through their bespoke Learning and Development courses, Ignition Human Performance are also focusing on impactful and memorable ways to bring teams back together in 2022, after the last two years when most of us have been working from home. These can be hosted at iconic motorsport venues with engaging guest speakers and team building activities - such as pit stop challenges and focusing on a range of subjects such as leadership, teamwork, wellbeing and lean management.

In becoming the team’s Official Business Performance Partner, Ignition Human Performance and MB Motorsport have created a first-of-its kind partnership. Ignition Human Performance branding will be proudly carried on the team’s racewear and the duo will work collaboratively together on a number of exciting activations throughout the season - with the aim of unlocking performance for their respective partners on and off track.

Commenting on the announcement, Mark Blundell, Sporting Director of MB Motorsport, said:

“I’m very pleased to welcome Nick and Ignition Human Performance to the team this season. I know from all my years of experience that it's clear businesses can learn from elite level motorsport. Nick and his team will work closely with our team at MB Motorsport to translate the lessons from what we learn on-track every weekend to our fantastic partners across the season. Elite motorsport is also about innovation, which is what makes this partnership such a great fit.”

Nick Butcher, Managing Director of Ignition Human Performance, added:

“We’re very excited to activate this unique partnership with MB Motorsport as their Official Business Performance Partner. This is a true partnership in every sense of the word, as the lessons we learn from the team on-track will directly go into our programmes, benefiting both parties clients and partners.  We are very proud of our motorsport DNA within IHP and this is a great opportunity to engage and learn from one of the best teams on the BTCC grid.”

This season MB Motorsport driver Jake Hill will be racing in the BMW 330e M Sport, prepared by West Surrey Racing
